Rev. Garth Wilson is the minister of our congregation. Originally from just outside Omagh in Co Tyrone, Rev. Wilson was educated at Omagh Academy before going on to study at Queens University. After a time of employment in local businesses, Mr Wilson established his own financial consultancy business. However Mr Wilson found himself being called of God to enter the ministry through the words of Mark 1:17, “Come ye after me and I will make you to become fishers of men”. In obedience to God’s calling, he commenced a 4 year course of training for the ministry at the Whitefield College of the Bible in 2009.

After graduating from Bible College in 2013, Rev. Wilson received and accepted the call to become the minister of Sandown Free Presbyterian Church. It was through the words of Acts 9:6, that the Lord confirmed the call of God in his life, to take up the ministry in the Sandown congregation. Rev. Wilson is married to Rachel and has three young children – Kirstyn, Leah and Isaac.

‘Arise, and go into the city.’
